The department of Urology has been started in this hospital as an extension of the department of Surgery to provide further specialised services of this branch and wants to offer a comprehensive urological service to the community. A specialised clinic for Urodynamics has been setup with the purpose of introducing minimally invasive surgical methods such as Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy and Ureteroscopy. More urological surgery would be performed where the patient will require to stay in the hospital for a very short period. There is possibility of addition of a surgical laser system in future. This will improve productivity and results markedly improve allowing the department to take care of more elderly and high risk patients for surgery.

The department is headed by Dr. Tara Chand Sharma MS (Surg.), DNB (Urology). He is specialist in Endourology and Laparoscopic Urology.
