The 'Diplomate of National Board (DNB)' is awarded by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), since 1975 when it was established. The purpose was to elevate the level of standard of post graduate medical education and to have uniformity in the curriculum and pattern of examinations.
St. Stephen's Hospital is one of the 135 accredited institutions
for this purpose in
Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics and Obstetrics/Gynaecology admit 3 candidates per year (Subject to vacancy in each) and other departments two each. Candidates are given clinical and academic training by a team of Senior Consultants many of whom were retired professors from medical colleges. |
