To
manage, maintain, endow and develop St Stephen's Hospital in Delhi
with one or more associated hospitals on a non-profit basis and as a
charitable organisation in the true spirit of Christian service,
ideals and principles.
- To
care for the sick and suffering irrespective of caste, creed, race or
language, with love and compassion as taught by Jesus Christ.
- To
carry on medical work with scrupulous respect for and adherence to the
Christian ideal of service on which the institution was founded.
- To
train doctors, nurses, midwives and other paramedical and
administrative
personnel and to conduct medical research.
- To
provide health care in general and more particularly for the needy
sections of community, by giving due importance to preventive care,
health education, urban and rural health and medical work.
