“Interactive session with caregivers of patients with schizophrenia”

Venue: Audio Visual Lecture Hall, Old Building Basement
Time: 11 am – 1 pm

Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe mental disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels and behaves. People with the illness seem to lose touch with reality. Common symptoms include false beliefs without logical reasoning known as delusions, hearing voices that others do not hear, disorganized thinking and speech, reduced social interaction, emotional blunting and lack of motivation. It becomes very difficult for the patient’s family to understand & adjust with the illness. Our interactive session is an attempt to educate and empower the family to effectively deal with various problems of the patients.
