 College of Nursing

St. Stephen's Hospital is a charitable healthcare institution; it is established and run by the minority Christian community administered by the Governing Body on behalf of the St. Stephen's Hospital Society.

St. Stephen’s Hospital had a humble beginning in 1885 as 20 bed hospital in Chandni Chowk. It was started by Ms. Priscilla Winter, a non- medical missionary who had led medical work for the ladies of the walled city. By 1908 it grew into a 100 bedded Women and Children's hospital relocated at Tis Hazari. In 1976 the Hospital was upgraded to a 450 bed multi-speciality hospital and in 1996 a new Mother and Child Block was constructed and commissioned. This modern well-equipped building has replaced the erstwhile building of 1908, with a present strength of 595 beds. Presently, St. Stephen's Hospital Healthcare Facility is commissioned in Gurgaon, Haryana.
