General OPD All general outpatient clinics, such as Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental and Rehabilitation Medicine are conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Specialty Clinics for General Patients Skin, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Psychiatry, Chest Clinic and Gastroenterology are conducted from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free OPD For the poor patients, hospital runs a free clinic on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Doctors from all departments are available for consultation. Registration is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Private OPD In the Private OPD, a patient is able to see the specific doctor of his/her choice on an appointment basis (by telephone) to avoid waiting. You can also book an appointment through internet. We will send you a confirmation by email. All specialty and super specialty clinics are held in the same area in the morning and afternoon. Admission Patients are admitted to the hospital as per the recommendation of a doctor. All patients are admitted in the hospital under a team of doctors. The beds in this hospital are divided between general and private category:
All patients are required to see the Assessment Officer to get an idea about the approximate charges for different services and also to understand the routine formalities such as admission, discharge etc. All patients will be required to pay an advance as specified by the Assessment Officer at the time of admission. Ordinarily, only cash is accepted for all payments. Personal cheques are accepted only with the permission from the management. Articles to be brought along when a patient is admitted: One set of clean clothes, toiletries, attendant's bed sheet, glass, spoon and plate. Patients are requested to bring medicines currently in use and papers of investigations recently done. Those who are planning to undergo elective surgery are requested to get admitted before 5:00 p.m. so that all the doctors who are required to see the patient before surgery will examine and explain the procedure to them. Visiting Hours: Visiting hours are between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. It is requested to restrict the number of visitors to protect your patients from infection, particularly before and after surgery. In special circumstances if you need to visit a patient outside the visiting hours, you have to buy a special pass costing Rupees Fifty only. General Ward patients are not allowed any attendant, except when ordered by the doctor. If an attendant wants to be with a patient, there will be an additional charge per day. No male family members (Attendants) are allowed in the female general wards (maternity) except during visiting hours. Attendant pass is issued on the recommendation of the doctor. Diet Arrangements for the patients: Breakfast for general patients is free and compulsory. Hospital will not allow breakfast to brought in for any patient. Time to bring patients's meals is form 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Discharge Discharges of patients can be either in the morning or in the evening. Most of the discharges are planned for the following morning. In such situations additional room rent is not charged for the subsequent day. Patients are advised to collect the discharge summary before leaving the hospital. If you leave the hospital against medical advice, you are not eligible for discharge summary. Those who require charge slip details for reimbursement purpose should request them at the time of discharge. If you need to leave the hospital in an emergency, you can do so after paying an advance. You may come later for the final bill.
