The department of Obstetric and Gynaecology(OBGY) at St. Stephens’s Hospital was established 150 years ago and today we are a leading tertiary care centre providing comprehensive women health services catering to North East and Central Delhi and NCR.

Our emphasis is to deliver compassionate, ethical & affordable quality care to all women attending our centre.

The OBGY department has a dedicated emergency casualty supervised by skilled doctors and OBGY trained staff with 24x7 availability of delivery and emergency services.

We work along the lines of Reproductive ,maternal, new born, child and adolescent health framework (RMNCH+A) and aim to reduce preventable maternal and newborn deaths and morbidities and provide a safe motherhood and positive birthing experience.

We lay emphasis on continuous course of care from family planning, preconception counselling, maternal care during pregnancy to post delivery care to the mother and the newborn.

Our gynaecology wing proficiently manages medical and surgical management of menstrual abnormalities, fibroids, disorders of uterus and ovaries, PCOS, adolescent gynaecology, menopausal and post menopausal disorders and other gynaecological endocrine disorders.

We are a large teaching department with DNB training, fellowship and nursing training programs.

We have an exclusive reproductive medicine unit (RMU) catering to issues of fertility.
